The political changes in South Africa during the 90&#8217;s afforded me the opportunity to teach children who had no knowledge of English. This sparked an interest in teaching English as a Foreign Language and led me towards my present job teaching English to non-native speakers.<\/p>\n<p>During lessons my main aim is to help students increase their confidence when speaking and help them develop fluency and strategies to keep their conversation going.<\/p>\n<p>I have always been passionate about language and how it is acquired and hope that my love of words, language and books will &#8220;rub-off&#8221; on those whom I teach.
